With reference to ECBC 2007 Power Distribution System Losses Para 8.2.5.1 , it stipulates that the cabling shall be done to maintain losses not to exceed 1% . This seems practically not possible. Since it is mentioned in the mandatory requirements, please advise the way forward.

Yes, this is a mandatory requirement of ECBC 2007; however this is not a mandatory requirement in GRIHA.
