(#8479) Non-applicability for ground water recharge

Query

We are planning to go for Cr 18 (Non-applicability: If the CGWB norms suggest that the groundwater table is high and groundwater recharging should not be done, then the project is exempt from this criteria). We have received the values for groundwater table from CGWB, Ahmedabad for the same.
Sultanabad is the only observation well located within a 10 km radius from the project. The groundwater level on average is 6 m and 4 m below ground level pre and post-monsoon respectively.

Solution

Yes this may be non applicable. However, a letter/notice from the authority confirming that the groundwater table is high and groundwater recharging should not be done, is required. Also, a hydrogeological survey report will have to be submitted indicating the ground water level at your site.
