Can a Solar PV System installed within an institutional campus boundary be considered towards GRIHA compliance?

Query

The project is providing SOLAR PV of almost 1 MW capacity outside the virtual boundary but within the institutional campus. This supply would be connected to the main campus grid. The Institute has issued a letter stating that the amount of PV generated power will be assigned to our building. Would this letter be sufficient to comply with criterion 18?

Solution

The solar PV system installed on the campus can be considered towards GRIHA compliance of the registered project; however, there should be no double counting of the units produced in other registered project. The PVs must overall produce sufficient energy for the project. A signed letter by the campus authorities will be sufficient to demonstrate compliance
