ECBC states that " Luminaires in day lighted areas greater than 25 square metre shall be equipped with manual or controlled automatic device that is capable of reducing the light output of luminaires in the day lighted areas by at least 50% ; Controls only the luminaires located within the day lighted areas.’ In case of luminaires we have considered dimmers. Are there any more alternatives?
Solution
Dimmer is a good option. The project team can also adopt on-off lighting controls for different day-lighting zones in order to optimize lighting consumption.
