(#8327) Daylight compliance method

Query

For Criterion 11, the effective daylighted area has been calculated as per the SP41;

Daylight area = No. of windows*((2H*W)+2m)

Where the H is Height between the Floor level to Window head level;

W is the width of the window.

Is this calculation methodology correct?

Solution

There is no compliance requirement for calculating effective daylighted area for Criterion 11.

Please refer to the GRIHA v 2015 manual to know about the Window to wall ratio (WWR), Skylight to roof ratio (SRR), SHGC/ shading and Daylight factor requirements.
