(#7783) Thermal comfort compliance in non-AC buildings

Query

There are six buildings in our project, out of which 3 are air-conditioned and rest are non -air-conditioned. We know the process for demonstrating thermal comfort compliance for AC buildings. However, for Non-AC buildings, can we show compliance with eQuest software by keeping the set point less than 33 degree Celsius and running the model after inserting the weather data? Also, can we provide a ceiling fan system or something similar to meet the thermal comfort compliance in the non-AC buildings?

Response

The process defined by the project team is acceptable. To meet thermal comfort, project team can provide the wind flow (by using ceiling fans) within the prescribed range of NBC.
