(#604)SRI compliance in cold climates

Does the external pavement SRI value need to exceed 0.5 in cold climates?

UHIE is a phenomenon which is applicable to the cold regions as well. Cold regions do require heat gain, but only inside the buildings. The ambient temperature of the surroundings must not be disturbed due to human intervention in the form of buildings and paved areas will certainly have an impact. Therefore, this criterion will be applicable.

Yes, the SRI value for cold climate should be more than 0.5 for external pavements.
