(#513)Tenant level metering in commercial project

Can the project be provided with one energy meter per tenant office space in a multiple tenant core and shell building? Sub- metering will additionally be provided in the project for DG sets, lifts, exterior lighting and common area lighting.

Separate sub meters for lighting and HVAC cannot be provided for each individual tenant since it will require unnecessary multiple cabling in the entire project and the same cannot be done for the entire lighting and HVAC loads of the overall building.

In the response to a previous similar query it has been mentioned that for a residential project, unit (apartment) level metering is acceptable.

Individual tenant level metering is acceptable only for residential typologies and not for commercial segment as the energy consumption and usage pattern are different in residential and commercial typologies.
