Our project is planning to use a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) Controller which helps in preventing electricity wastage. This is not required as per mandatory or prescriptive requirements of ECBC and any GRIHA criterion andhe technology will help in saving energy. However, it can not be considered in energy simulations for EPI reduction. Hence, can the project team consider it as an innovation and claim an innovation point?
Response
Provision of a THD controller is a technical requirement and hence cannot be considered under innovation. The final evaluation will be done at the discretion of the evaluator upon submission of relevant documents.
