While calculating annual water reuse demand, can kitchen and lavatory faucet requirement be excluded?

Query

As treated waste water cannot be used for washing hands, can kitchen and lavatory faucet requirement be excluded while calculating annual water reuse demand?

Solution

The intent of the criterion is to off-set fresh water demand through a combination of re-use of treated water from STP and collection of rain-water. If rainwater is collected, it can be used for washing hands. Hence, kitchen & lavatory faucets must be included in the calculation.
