Do we need to also comply with 28.1.2. Extended metering, to meet the requirements of, 28.1.3 Smart metering? Can smart meters be installed for only the basic meters under 28.1.1 and the 3 points be claimed for the same?

The project need not comply with the requirement of extending metering (28.1.2) to meet the requirement of 28.1.3 (Smart Metering).
Installing Smart meters (energy and water both) to meet the basic metering requirement will make the project eligible for 3 points.
