Query
If a township is awarded GRIHA - LD rating, do the buildings have to be certified separately as well? If yes, is the process separate? Will all the documentation have to be done again or the overlapping criteria can be skipped, as most of the points in the LD rating are applicable to buildings?
Solution
It is optional for individual buildings in a GRIHA LD rated neighborhood, to get a GRIHA rating. In case the building choses to get GRIHA Rating, the fee and documentation will be according to the GRIHA Rating system.
The GRIHA module has been designed to rate individual buildings. GRIHA LD and GRIHA are completely different systems and there are no overlapping criteria between the two. If the construction of the “large development” and the individual buildings is simultaneous, then the ratings processes will also be simultaneous.
