As per Criterion 33 (GRIHA Version 3), meters and sub-meters for monitoring building’s energy and water consumption have to be installed. However, for residential building is it necessary to install meters and sub-meters at individual dwelling unit level or they can be installed at common area level?

Solution

In a residential project, unit (apartment) level metering is acceptable.
