If a project does not have any existing trees then will it lose points for tree preservation in Criterion 02?

Criterion 2 (GRIHA Version 3) has a mandatory clause of preserving  & protecting the existing trees but what should be done in case the  site does not have any existing trees? Will the project straight away lose those 2 points?

Solution

There is a non-applicability clause according to which if there are no existing trees then criterion 2 (GRIHA Version 3) becomes non-applicable. So the points will also be removed from the denominator.
