The project site is located inside an educational campus. There is an existing bus stop within ½ km radius from the campus gate. Can 01 point be claimed considering that the site is located inside the campus?
Solution
The commitment clause in Criterion 01 (GRIHA Version 3) states that “the selected site should be located within a radius of half km of an existing bus stop, commuter rail, light rail or metro station". So in such a case, the client should ensure that a connectivity link (Like shuttle, bus etc.) is provided from the project site to the campus gate. A project specific discussion with GRIHA Council is usually done in unique cases to ensure proper course of action.
