Is energy calculation done in Visual DOE /eQuest software enough to demonstrate thermal comfort compliance?

Query

We are doing energy calculation in visual DOE / eQuest software for criterion 14 (GRIHA Version 3). We can simulate the non-conditioned living zones with a temperature set point of 33 degree C and some predefined ACH as per the circulation fans provided on those respective spaces. In addition, the software output (Hourly simulation report) can be extracted for the respective working hours as well to show the compliance for discomfort working hours. Will this suffice to prove the thermal comfort compliance or else please detail out the further requirement over the same to be for compliance.

Solution

No. This is not sufficient to demonstrate thermal comfort compliance. It is recommended to use TRNSYS or Energy Plus software to demonstrate comfort compliance for non AC spaces.
